fun things lately :)

happy monday y'all! happy indeed! i was able to leave work a little early today since we weren't very busy...which allowed me to stop by the store to buy eggs so i could come home & make those brownies i have been craving all day...which also allowed me some downtime to catch up on loading pics from the past few weeks & squeeze in a little catnap before the afternoon/evening "routine" begins :)

happy friday!

sooo glad it's friday! this week has been a bit of a roller coaster & today was nothing short of one either! from emma's daycare calling me at work this morning to come pick her up b/c she appeared to have pink eye (which was confirmed shortly thereafter by dr. garrish) to matt & i finally closing on our "this is where we'll be forever" piece of land this afternoon!

we are both so excited to finally own our 22 acres w/ a pond & a barn & one day our home!

♥ what a blessing!!! please say a lil' prayer for my punkin to get better soon :)

i'll post pics of our "farm" soon :)

some other fun things lately...

my baby girl turned 5 months old!

those are 18 month pj's she's sportin'...she loves to eat like her mama & daddy :)

emma can sit up!!

she topples over fairly quickly...but it's a good start :)

it seems like she's reaching so many milestones so quickly that i can't really soak them all up fast enough! everyone warned me about this, but i'm still searching for that pause button!

where to begin..

whew!! i can't believe i haven't posted since emma was 6 weeks old! then again, yes i can :)

time has gone by way too fast since feb. 21, and so many things have changed! everything it seems...our priorities, our schedules, our sleep, our feelings, our idea of fun, our worries, our bank account, our prayers,  our grocery list, our hearts, our water bill & the list goes on :)

our sweet girl has melted both our hearts more than we either could have ever imagined ♥ thank you Lord for her :)

emma will be 5 months old tomorrow! she is making lots of funny noises now..mainly pressing her lips together and blowing spit everywhere! it's pretty hilarious :) she loves to get naked & stand on the bathroom counter (with assistance of course) & just look at herself (again, hilarious)! her thighs have so many rolls that she stands kinda bow-legged...this should work itself out eventually we're thinking. she also loves to play in her "jumpin johnny" as i've heard it called. it hooks to the door frame & she jumps nonstop! we've only had one finger squishing so far that caused a tear, but i'm sure they're be lots more. emma loves to eat stage 1 baby food right now! applesauce, bananas, pears, sweet potatoes & squash are all her favorites! green beans & peaches not so much!

emma also seems to really like her daycare! THANK YOU LORD!!! anyone reading this already knows that story, so i'll just leave it at that. all her teachers are very sweet & caring :) ms pat, ms misty & ms melba all do a wonderful job with her ♥ kudos to wilson's mills baptist church childcare center!

i'm pretty excited about tomorrow! emma will be 5 months old so we'll take that photo in the morning with her little sticker on her onesie! then matt & i are heading to cary to meet lee & alesha for the virginia derby! emma is staying at gg's until sunday (gg is very excited to show her off at church)...& we are looking forward to a little getaway as well :) i'm particularly thrilled about sleeping in a king size bed saturday night with no 5am wake up call (my lil' angel wakes up @ 5 everyday!) you watch...i'll be wide awake @ 5!

guess that's enough for now. i'm really gonna strive to get back into posting updates weekly! it won't feel so overwhelming if i can stay on top of it :)
