Lack of Respect



My boss was complaining in a staff meeting the other day that he wasn't getting any respect.

Later that morning he went out and got a small sign that read, "I'm the Boss".

He then taped it to his office door.

Later that day when he returned from lunch, he found that someone had taped a note to the sign that said.

"Your wife called, she wants her sign back!"

it's crunch time!

with all this warm, beautiful weather we've been having lately i have realized that i am definitely not swimsuit ready! i also know that a cold front is approaching, so i've promised myself to use this last chance before warm weather sticks around to get myself prepared (mentally & physically) for the cute black bikini i bought at old navy a few weeks ago :)

last week (once i finally excepted the fact that my 31 year old self cannot just look at a treadmill & lose weight) i went online searching for the old workout routine i did many summers ago with some girlfriends at my grandma's house. she always loved it when us girls would come over & workout in the "spare" building. she would either walk out there or look from her kitchen window at us giggling & halfway doing the workout.

after a little searching i found the same basic taebo vhs cassette workout...& bought it for $0.50! the s&h was $2.95. i figured since i was getting such a good deal on the "tape" i would just suck it up & pay more in s&h than the thing was worth! after all, i really needed to get this thing started!

so...here i sit (post workout #1) in my sports bra & yoga pants that have a hole in the crotch due to excessive washing & drying....& i feel freakin' awesome! i did the 30 minute taebo workout & walked 30 minutes on my treadmill. i know that one workout isn't gonna change me, but i feel as if i should have a six-pack & be able to wear my "skinny" jeans again. i'm really gonna stick to this thing, so occasionally i'm gonna post updates on my progress. doing this will make me feel like i'm being held accountable..(whatever it takes right?)

.. the jeans i so desperately want to wear again! oh, how i love those jeans :)

heard these lyrics on another blog today...& oh how i'm ready for that to be my "worry." we finally booked our summer vacation this week! it's still another 5.75 months away, but MAN i'm ready!! we were able to rent the same house we stayed in on our 1st beach trip together...we are very excited!!

can't wait to be on that front porch again =)
