It's been a few weeks since I've updated (mainly due to being busy &/or in bed sick), so there hasn't been too much excitement going on around here..just recovering :)
Last Saturday afternoon was spent rootin' on the Pack!
So glad they pulled off the W, but the wind & rain I could have done without...hence the "in bed sick" part mentioned above. Once we got home Saturday night I was frozen to the bone! Matt got the house nice & toasty for us & I was fast asleep :)
After church Sunday, Matt & I visited my Grandma. She hasn't been doing well lately. She has lung cancer which has affected her breathing alot lately & she's also experiencing dementia. She has good & bad days, but lately the bad seem to be outweighing the good..so please keep her in your prayers.
..can't wait for this to be a daily routine!
By the time Tuesday rolled around, I was going through the puffs, sudafed & robitussin (the few meds I can have I am forever grateful) & by Thursday I was back to work...still sounded horrible, but I felt much better!
We also celebrated 18 weeks this past Monday :) Almost to the 1/2 way mark...can't believe our lil' punkin has grown that much! According to Babycenter.com ~ Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead.
FYI: They alternate using he/she every other week.
Now to this past weekend...
Friday evening Matt & I decided to give the ol' Mule Days a try & headed to town to check things out :) We started out at El Charro's (the local mexican restaurant) where we saw the cutest lil' cowboy in his hat & cowboy boots! After getting to the point of almost miserable from eating so much, we decided to walk it off & headed to the grove. We made it to the food vendors where I found me some cotton candy & of course, a candy apple :) We didn't stay very long (mainly cause I had to pee), but it was nice to go for a bit & enjoy the nice weather while it lasted :)
Saturday afternoon Ms. Connie stopped by the house with Gage after they left the Mule Days parade! He had a horse painted on his face :)
Sunday afternoon Matt & I met the family at the RBC Center for the 2011 Heart Walk! My stepbrother, Keith, has battled a heart condition since birth & has had to undergo multiple open heart surgeries. We walked to help raise money for heart research! There was a wonderful turnout & they raised over $900,000!!
This week marks the official start of Autumn!! I took a few pics of some fall decor around the house. I'm so ready to stock up on pumpkins & mums for Fall :)
I love this candle!! It was a birthday gift from my sweet neighbor, Amy :)
